When Jesus asked His disciples, “Whom say ye that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
But what does that mean to me?
Christ means, “the anointed one”.
He is the Messiah.
He is my Savior.
What does he save me from?
He saves me from sin and my own inadequacies, offering me eternal life.
He knows my pains, struggles, and fears and succors me in times of need.
He frees me from grudges, anger, and frustration, knowing He is the perfect judge.
He died and was resurrected so I will be resurrected someday, taking away the sting of death.
He sacrificed His life so I could be made clean and whole.
As Son of the Living God, He only could complete this mission.
He fills me with peace, hope, and love.
He is the Christ.
He is my Friend.
He is my Jesus.
