I love how Jesus summed up all of God’s commandments into two: love God and love people.
All of God’s commandments fall under one or the other or both categories.

The order is important, though, so that we can love people in a way that God would want us to love them.
Loving God also helps us want to love people.
I think that’s part of the spirit of Christmas.
During this season, we tend to focus our hearts and attention on God more, and that flows into loving people more.
The greatest commandment: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
The second is like unto it, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
