The Bread of Life | John 6

November 1, 2024
Jesus would sacrifice His body, His life (symbolized by bread) that the world might be saved.

After Jesus had miraculously fed the multitudes, there were many that followed Him just so they could get free food.

They didn’t understand who He was and what He was teaching them.

Jesus taught them that He was the bread of life. 🥖

➡️ Side note: Did you know that Bethlehem in Hebrew means “house of bread”? How appropriate that Jesus, the bread of life, was born in Bethlehem. ☺️

Jesus said, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”(John 6:5)

Jesus would sacrifice His body, His life (symbolized by bread) that the world might be saved.

Through Him we can be spiritually nourished and filled.

Through Him we can gain eternal life.
