I love that Zacchæus was so excited to see Jesus that he climbed up in a tree to see Him coming. He was too short to see Him through the crowd!
When Jesus saw him in the tree, he told Zacchæus that he would come to visit him at his house. Zacchæus joyfully received Him.
Zacchæus was a Chief Tax collector and everyone called him a sinner. Zacchæus argued that he’d given half of all he owned to the poor. He had done his best to repent. Jesus said that “This day is salvation come to this house.”
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10
I want to live with as much excitement and joy in Jesus as Zacchæus did ❤️
