In Gethsemene, Jesus prayed for his disciples that they would be kept from evil. He wanted them to have eternal life with Him and His Father.
He prays for us too.
“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.”
He prayed that we might be made perfect (whole, complete) through Him, and that we would be loved as Jesus is loved by the Father.
