Our gift to Jesus is keeping His commandments. One of His commandments is to love one another.
But His gift to us is peace and comfort.
What a beautiful gift!
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
His peace is confidence in His promises. He can repair our mistakes, heal our hearts, and bring us comfort.
One of my favorite gifts is the gift of the Holy Ghost, which Jesus says “shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance.”
I often find that scriptures or songs will be brought to my remembrance when I need them to comfort or instruct me. It’s one of the ways God speaks to me personally.
