From today’s Bible reading: Matthew 6
Jesus taught us how to pray and encouraged us to pray.
We address our loving Father in Heaven with reverence.
We acknowledge that His will is best.
We pray for things we need, both spiritual and physical.
We ask for forgiveness and remember to forgive others.
We pray for protection from temptation.
We again acknowledge God’s power and glory in awe and reverence.
In John 16:23, it says “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
We close our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
I often forget to acknowledge God’s will and power in my prayers. I’m going to work on that this week. ♥️
