How has God been with you? 💕
(From today’s reading: Matthew 1)
For generations, prophets had foretold the coming of a Messiah. In Matthew 1, a genealogy is laid out, showing the fulfillment of a prophecy that the Messiah would come through Abraham’s lineage and through the lineage of King David.
Isaiah prophesied that He would be born of a virgin. “Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23
