From today’s Bible reading: Luke 11
Let’s unpack this:
“The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.”
Here’s what I think this means:
As we focus on Christ and good things, He fills us with His light. Light represents good, joy, love, peace, holiness, and gratitude. Jesus is the Light of the World.☀️
If our focus is on evil, which is often selfishness, pride, sin, immorality, shame, and worldly power, we become evil or unclean before God.

Don’t worry, though. Light always casts away darkness. 🔦
I believe as we invite Christ into our lives through prayer, scripture study, acts of kindness, gratitude, love, and repentance, He will chase away the darkness from our lives until there is no place for it anymore.
We can be filled with His light.💡
