Jesus warned his disciples that following Him would not be easy.

Jesus wants to gather us and protect us. But we have to let go of pride and let Him gather us.

Loving God also helps us want to love people.

We have a little more than a month to go before Christmas, and we’re going to spend December reading about Holy Week. How cool is that?

Even Jesus, the greatest King the world would ever know, came not to be served but to serve others.

God cares more about the faith you have at the end of the day and not what part of the day you began to have faith.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just joining us now in week 9, reading the Bible daily through Christmas will bless your life.

I like to imagine that maybe this young man was sad that he would have to sell all that he had, but that eventually he did and came to follow Jesus.

Reading this story I wondered how many times Jesus waits and lets us experience trials so He can show His power in our lives.

There is so much we take for granted that we can feel joy and thankfulness for if we stop and look around.
