The story of the ten lepers seems very appropriate for the season!
Ten lepers called to Jesus so they could be healed.
Jesus told them to go to see the priests.
As they went, they were healed.
Only one turned back to thank Jesus for healing him.
Jesus said, weren’t there ten healed? Where are the other nine?
To the man who gave thanks, Jesus said, “Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole.”
I believe that the man who gave thanks was not only cleansed physically but also spiritually.
Gratitude is a powerful antidote for sadness, despair, and selfishness.
It can bring us healing and hope.🙏
I once had a teacher who started the class each day with quiet time to be grateful. I would look around the room and notice the little things I was grateful for.
I was grateful for the clock so I could know the time.🕑 I was grateful for the heater that kept me warm. 🔥 I was grateful for the pencil so I could write. ✏️ I was grateful for the lights so we could see even when it was dark outside.💡
There is so much we take for granted that we can feel joy and thankfulness for if we stop and look around.
What are you most grateful for? ❤️
