We Are Family | Mark 3

October 16, 2024
In the New Testament, we read the story of Jesus and how He makes it possible for all of us to be part of God’s eternal family.

From today’s Bible reading: Mark 3

One thing I realized the last time I was reading from the Old Testament was that the Bible really is a family history of Jesus Christ’s ancestors: his great-great-great and great-great-many great grandparents have their stories told down until the time Jesus Christ was born.

God watched out for this little family, knowing that Jesus would be part of it someday.

In the New Testament, we read the story of Jesus and how He makes it possible for all of us to be part of God’s eternal family.

Now we’re all related, of course, because Adam and Eve were the ancestors of all of us. We were all technically God’s family already.

But there’s something special in knowing that Jesus considers all those who do the will of God His closest family.

We get to choose to be part of that family 💕
