📖 From today’s reading: Luke 1
I especially loved these two verses in Luke 1. In verse 37, an angel is telling young Mary that her much older cousin Elizabeth is with child. She was barren and thought she’d never have children. Now she would be the mother of a prophet who would prepare the way for the Lord.
In verse 38, Mary humbly submits to the will of the Lord after learning that she would be the mother of the Savior of the world. She simply says, “Behold the haidmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”
Both of these verses teach us to trust the Lord and His plan even when we don’t understand how it will be possible. He makes all things possible. ❤️
I also love that God provided a friend for both Mary and Jesus who had some understanding of what they were going through.
