I walked into a dark room today to complete a quick task. At first I could see very little. My eyes gradually grew accustomed to the dark, and I could see a bit better. I thought to myself, this would be much easier if I had just turned on the light, but the light switch is on the other side of the room now. I can probably finish what I need to do without the light.
Sometimes that might be how I deal with things in life. I try to go through things in my life without the light of Christ, trusting my own judgement and knowledge, thinking that it’s too much work to add His light to my life right now. But if I would just apply His light to my life, everything would be so much clearer and easier.
