It’s been 2 years since our last challenge session, but I feel like it’s time to do it again.
We’re reading a chapter a day until Christmas 2026. That will take us through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They all wrote about the life of Jesus. What did they think was most important for us to know about Him?
Because there are 89 chapters in the Gospels, it’s the perfect 90-day challenge! The last day will be Christmas, and we can celebrate and review what we’ve learned.
I’ve created a reading calendar of one chapter each day that keeps the stories together as much as possible instead of reading through each chapter in order.

As you read, look for Jesus Christ’s attributes, actions, relationships, and teachings. Think about why those things are meaningful to you today.
This challenge helped me so much last time. I didn’t know when I started the challenge that I would be facing some difficult trials soon. My faith in Christ increased as I read. Writing my thoughts each day really helped me, as I was able to see His mercy and love for me. I didn’t gain many followers, but I gained spiritual strength.
I hope it will help you too. The challenge starts today, September 27, with one chapter a day until Christmas. I know I haven’t given you enough notice! Just know that you’re never behind. Start wherever you’re at. Read at whatever pace suits you… a chapter a day, or a single verse each day. Think about what you learn about Jesus Christ as you read. Find verses that inspire you. Feel the love of Jesus Christ and discover who He is to you.
